Jorge Fernando Negrete
Jorge is one of the most relevant digital sector analysts in Latin America. Lawyer. University professor and lecturer. Columnist for the newspaper Reforma (Mexico), La República (Colombia), Diario Financiero (Chile), and DPL News. President and founding partner of Digital Policy & Law Group, the most influential Digital, Telecommunications, and ICT information, analysis, and regulatory intelligence group in Latin America. He hosts and curates the forums on regulation and digital policy: Mexico 5G, Colombia 5G, Brazil 5G, Chile 5G, The frontier of digital regulation and Digital Law.
He is a member of the Advisory Council of the Federal Institute of Telecommunications, IFT, in Mexico.
Graduate in law (National Autonomous University of Mexico, UNAM). He has been a professor of State Theory, Administrative Law, Public Law Institutions, and Communication Law at UNAM, ITAM, La Salle University, and Anáhuac del Sur University. His academic activity and professional practice are developed in Communication Law, regulation and public policy of digital technology, intellectual property, industrial property, and technology transfer. He has presented at conferences in Brazil, Spain, Germany, Costa Rica, Colombia, China, Sweden, and Argentina, among other countries.
Jorge is a full member of the Mexican Academy of Informatics (AMIAC) and was president of the Mexican Association of Right to Information A.C. (AMEDI).
